About Convergence Promotions

Convergence Promotions is the premier provider of Alliance and Partner Programs in the Embedded, Handheld and Wireless industries. We deliver partner programs that serve as a catalyst, bringing like-minded businesses together. These programs create synergy for sponsors and partners by providing an environment that fosters business relations, creates customer awareness to increase sales for both the sponsor and their partners and encourages technical discussion to improve products and services.

For over a decade, the principals of ConVergence Promotions have designed and managed premier partner programs and alliances for over a dozen of the world's largest semiconductor companies. Our programs also manifest themselves into promotions such as magazines, websites, CDs, newsletters and other media. Our knowledge of the Embedded Industry together with our marketing and publishing experience makes us uniquely qualified to put programs together that get results.

Management Team

The ConVergence Team brings impressive credentials to bear on every project, and many of our customers recognize our combined talents and capabilities as our most important asset. Other companies claim expertise in alliances and custom publishing, and only offer advertising and publishing experience-- only Convergence brings the industry engineers and technical industry leaders together to develop successful turn-key alliance programs, from the alliance formation phase, to outreach programs such as web, print or CD based promotions.

Carefully check our credentials and industry experience below, and you'll quickly see-Convergence is the only team to select to make your next program a success.

Here is a synopsis of the team we assemble to work together every project:

Glenn ImObersteg

Long regarded as the pioneer of the alliance programs in the embedded industry, Glenn brings a wealth of expertise to bear in the design and implementation of alliance programs.

Following careers in publishing and advertising (awarded "Best in the West Creative Director Awards for creative work on Well Fargo Banking, and the International Diamond Association, among other distinctions), he moved his expertise in the early 1980's to the telecom and early embedded systems industries.

Glenn started the first 8051 Directory in 1986, and quickly followed with over 20 industry directories in the next few years, including the Motorola 68K, Coldfire and Power PC Directories, Intel MCS51/251 and 386 Directories, MIPS Directory, AMD Fusion29K and Fusion E86 Directories, Hitachi H8/ SH Directory Mitsubishi Directory, Siemens Directory, ARM Development Guide, DSP and others. His company, Market Works, was purchased by Miller Freeman (CMP), and was the foundation of CMP's Custom Publishing Division.

In the late 90's Glenn worked with Siemens and Infineon on bringing their tools and products to the US in the Siemens SPACE program. He also started and sold Monterey Tools Company, (which specialized in selling evaluation boards and starter kits over the web), and produced the Embedded Universities in the US and Germany.

Glenn returned to the partner alliance field in 2000 to concentrate on Embedded and wireless alliances. Recent programs include the ARM Information Quarterly Magazine (IQ), ARM Developers' Guide, Intel PCA Program for XScale and StrongARM (including the Wireless Solutions Journal), Motorola i.MX Program, Atmel Applications Journal, Microsoft Windows CE and XP Embedded Resource, and the upcoming Worldwide 2004 ARM Developers' Conference in Santa Clara in October.

Markus Levy

When it comes to unbiased, first-rate analysis of the embedded market  and microprocessors, the industry looks to Markus for his expertise.
Markus is founder and president of EEMBC (www.eembc.org), the Embedded  Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium. EEMBC is chartered with the task of developing and evolving application-level benchmarks for embedded processors with a membership comprised of more than 50 of the world's leading semiconductor, intellectual property, compiler, and Java Virtual Machine vendors.
Markus is also president of the Multicore Association (www.multicore-association.org), an organization that supports the multicore ecosystem and includes vendors of processors, operating systems, compilers, development tools, debuggers, ESL/EDA tools, simulators, as well as application and system developers. Its members are working together to develop industry-standard solutions that speed time to market for products that involve multicore implementations.
In addition, Markus is chairman of the international conference series called the Multicore Expo, as well as chairman of the annual ARM Developer's Conference. Markus has more than nine years of experience working with EDN Magazine and Instat/MDR, and as a result, is a very seasoned editor and analyst with a proven record of processor and development tool analysis, article writing, and the delivery of countless technical seminars.

Beginning in 1987, Markus worked for Intel Corporation as both a senior applications engineer and customer training specialist for Intel's microprocessor and flash memory products. While at Intel, Markus received several patents for his ideas related to flash memory architecture and usage as a disk drive alternative. Markus is also co-author of "Designing with Flash Memory", the only technical book on this subject.
